Company Name
About United Horned Hair Sheep Association

The United Horned Hair Sheep Association, Inc., with 6 divisions representing the breeds
of: Painted Desert Sheep, Texas Dall Sheep, Black Hawaiian Sheep, Corsican Sheep,
Desert Sand Sheep, and Mouflon Sheep has officially begun registrations (as of late Fall
2009). Individual Registries for the various breeds had been considered at various stages
since 2005 and even earlier by various breeders.

A group of 9 sheep breeders, from across the nation, worked to create
a national non-
profit organization
that is dedicated to serving the members. While one breeder needed to
retire from active assistance, the remaining continued on with the full support of the retired
individual.

When in conception and development, there were no other registries for Texas Dall, Black
Hawaiian, Corsican, Desert Sand, nor Mouflon Sheep. As for the Painted Desert sheep
breed, there was a need to move away from a sole-proprietorship registry to a member
owned and member operated non-profit organization to help benefit and promote the
breed.

Including all the divisions of these separate but related sheep, seemed to be the best way
to produce an organization that would be positioned to promote and educate other sheep
breeders and the general public about the breeds represented.

It was decided to include the parent breed which ties all of these breeds together, the
Mouflon Sheep, in the UHHSA, Inc., in order to help promote knowledge and education
about one of the remaining natural, wild sheep and for conservation efforts to attempt to
retain some bloodlines of sheep which, at the very least, physically resemble the Mouflon
sheep as found in the wild.

The UNITED HORNED HAIR SHEEP ASSOCIATION, Inc., was created to help fulfill the
need for an organization which, as
a non-profit organization, will benefit the breeds
represented, the membership, the breeders, and the public.

Our Purpose as an
incorporated non-profit organization (from our ARTICLES OF
